How do you balance your work and home life so efficiently?
Lots of planning! Funny you should ask, as I just came from a meeting and I was laughing on the way there as it took lots of scheduling with my husband and nanny to coordinate the details. It truly takes a village!
What did you love about eating at Zin Bistro with your girlfriends?
Obviously the food was incredible, but the ambiance was unbelievable! The lake, the lighting! Everything was perfection.
What’s the best part about being a mom?
Wow…that’s a tough question. There are so many best parts but I would say watching this little baby that you’ve known since they took their first breath, grow into an actual person. My daughter is talking now and it’s just so incredible. She gives me hugs and kisses and my heart just MELTS on a daily basis.
What’s the hardest part about being a working parent?
The separation anxiety. We both have it! When your child is screaming “Mommy Mommy” and hugging your leg when you have to get out the door, ugh…heartbreaking.
What’s your favorite activity to do with your daughter?
She’s become quite the fashionista so shopping with her has gotten really fun. She’s a total girl so we pick out shoes, jewelry…it’s crazy. But so much fun!
What advice would you like to give other mothers struggling to balance their work and home life?
Don’t beat yourself up! I feel like we all have so much mommy guilt and it’s just not worth it. It’s impossible to work a 14 hour day, pick your kid up from school, and cook a 4 course meal. It’s just not going to happen so just go easy on yourself. Your kid will love you no matter what!
